Dumser's is great. Right outside Seacrets. Tons of good eats. Onion rings are outstanding. Cheesesteaks are good. Gotta try a Hawaiian Delight milkshake, it's a game changer. Oh yea, don't sleep on the fried chicken. That stuff hit the spot. If you go to Seacrets, step outside for some Dumser's rather than wasting your money on the below average over-priced food inside.

Everytime we come to OC, we come to Dumser's Dairyland! You can make everyone in your family happy coming for lunch, dinner and/or icecream here! Menu is diner-esk...good variety. The soups and fried chicken are very good. The ice cream is fantastic! Homemade, super creamy and a great variety of flavors. A single dip (cone or cup) is MORE than enough icecream. We all could barely finish. Family of 5 with kids 12, 9 and 7 years old. They love to come here. If you have never been, be sure to to give it a try!

Cute old style ice cream shop. Ice cream is delicious. Stopped last week after a day at the beach and a game of mini golf. The lines were long but moved quickly. The young people working behind the counter hustled to keep up. We had ice cream (chocolate soft serve with peanut butter dip) and milk shakes. The soft serve was creamy and chocolaty. The milk shakes were thick with ice cream. Great little place right outside of Ocean City. I highly recommend it.

YUM! On a warm summer night, the line was definitely long, but moved quickly. I had the flavor of the day- mint Oreo- on a sugar cone with chocolate jimmies of course! It was divine. All the ice cream is homemade and you can tell. It's the perfect texture and the scoops are soft and fluffy. Everyone enjoyed what they had- hard and soft serve alike! Definitely a winner!

A very vintage throwback to what you think of when considering a drive-in restaurant from the 1950's. It's the Arnold's of Happy Days with a bit more ice cream. The service is very good to be such a troupe of teenage girls and they are fast if for no other reason than for their youth. The portions are more than generous and the prices are moderate for the service and quality. Late nights can be a madhouse so be prepared to wait if you want to dine and dash. Inside you'll find things a bit more calm and less crowded. Dumper's Dairyland Drive In Comes as Advertised so don't miss this one when visiting the OC, MD.

Had gone here a bunch in the past and only gotten the ice cream which is always amazing. Finally this last trip to the beach i got to try the food. I got the cheesesteak sub and my wife got a grilled cheese and a milkshake. It was so good. Cheesesteak was really big and had a lot of meat. Was very surprised. Taking a star off because even though it was delicious not sure if it was worth the hefty price. Incredible service, food, and of course ice cream

Best ice cream ever both soft serve and regular, I was in OC for 8 days and came here every day

  • Danny J.

Mintcake W said it perfectly: This is a place to get your ice cream on. I don't even remember the entree's or service, they simply pale in comparison to Dumsers ice cream. Even IF they were bad, their ice cream is just so perfect it would more than make up for it. My only regret visiting Dumsers is that there's no hole in my stomach so i can just eat all of their ice cream and never get full!

We visited the Dumser's location off Route 50 before you cross the bridge into downtown OC. We had a chocolate dipped scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream in a cone and a scoop of peanut butter chocolate chip in a cone. They were delicious. Did not take credit cards, but had ATM on premise.

Fresh ice cream, good service. The line in front speaks for itself:)

Always hits the spot! - Dec 1, 2009 For fresh, delicious and unique flavors of ice cream and excellent friendly service: visit Dumser's like I have since I was old enough to have ice cream! An Ocean City traditional that I wouldn't miss! The service is always cheerful and pleasant (except for one or two grumps) and the food is always on time, reasonably priced, but most of all it's fresh! As a former ice cream shop waitress, I LOVE visiting Dumser's every Summer!

  • Heather H.

This is a great place for ice cream. I wouldn't really recommend it for food because it's mostly just diner and fried food. I had soft serve and it was very yummy. My boyfriend had the cookies and cream hand dipped and it was very creamy and yummy as well.

  • Kool B.

We never visit OC without visiting Dumsers several times. We love the cheesesteak there as well as the ice cream of course. I recommend Oreo crush with rainbow sprinkles.

  • Kristin H.

We didnt eat any dinner here but we grabbed a milkshake and an ice cream cone. It was nothing special. I have had better at a cheaper price. They say it is homemade ice cream but it didnt have that taste to me. It tasted very similar to friendlys ice cream

Have been here before but this time brought the family. Good food diner style and great icecream. Beware food is plentiful and save room for desert.

I eat here everytime I'm in Ocean City, Maryland. They have fountain soda and the best vanilla coke I've had. Great Ice Cream! They have two restaurants in town and one or two ice cream stands on the boardwalk. Most of the food is great, but the seafood is pretty hit or miss.

  • Manh K.

Dumsers. Whenever you run over to Ocean City, this is one of those ice cream parlors you must stop by. They present an old fashion twist to the changing tide of time. I love their cones, and their shakes. Everytime when I go to Ocean City, they have lines that make you wait for at least 5 minutes. Overall, I recommend this place for some deserts.

Management listened and posted signs outside for no smoking and no profanity! Well done! Our server last night was on top of everything and super nice.

  • Elizabeth K.

Dumser's is delicious! Keep in mind that the food tends to be pretty standard diner food, and we always go for the ice cream. The sundaes, shakes, and scoops are always the perfect treat at the beach. I usually get a shake, which are nice and thick. Tip: go inside if the line outside is long. You can order ice cream at a booth or at the counter if you're not up for the long summertime lines. 4 stars because it's not somewhere I would choose first for food, but definitely go for the treat after dinner!

  • Ken M.

This is a pretty big chain and it pretty much has the same experience no matter which one you do to. The Missus and I wanted some late night ice cream (we didn't need it, believe me. we wanted it.) and this place was open. The ice cream was good. The menu of desserts was varied with lots of cool specialties. Nice place. Definitely for ice cream!

  • Gregg G.

Stopped here for lunch the other day while waiting for hotel room to be ready. We had only been here previously for ice cream. My wife and I both had the fried clam basket. It took me back to the good old days of Howard Johnson fried clams. The portion was great and the French fries were nice and crisp too. A pleasant beginning g to our trip and a really good lunch!!

Great place to bring kids and enjoy a cheeseburger and some homemade ice cream at a reasonable price. Delicious! Excellent service as well.

  • Johm G.

The best place to eat in Ocean City. I always eat eat here when I visit. The fried chicken platter is great. Good soups and sandwiches too. And of course the ice cream is the best. There are not many places left that are true soda fountains like Dumsers!

    (5)
  • Michael W.

How do I rate this place? If you have had a few drinks it's great. However if you are stopping by lunch it's just okay. A lot of comfort food. I had the fried chicken meal. The portions are generous and the service is good. Nothing to write home about but for the price what do you expect.

    (3)
  • Jason F.

Best Malt Shake EVER! The BLT was on point! Dumser's is a must have every-time I go to Ocean City. Try the mint chocolate chip malt shake, you won't be disappointed. I also give credit to those poor girls that deal with all of the drunk idiots leaving Seacrets. LOL

    (5)
  • Julia R.

The employees are friendly and service was efficient. I like this location because you can order out and eat on the benches out front or go inside and get a break in the a/c. Ordered cheese fries and they were delicious.

    (5)
  • Chris S.

Definitely have no plans of returning to Dumser's. I should have stuck with what I assume they do best and got the ice cream. Instead I looked at their lengthy food menu and decided to give that a shot. I ordered the cheese steak with fries. The cheese steak was dry and close to inedible. I asked for tomatoes and mushrooms and they ignored that and only gave me meat which was sub-par a piece of cheese. Fries weren't much better, some were still cold in the middle. Dumser's really let me down, I wanted a nice meal at the beach and ended up with overpriced crap.

  • Erin R.

Love this place! We hit it every trip to OC. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. We are big fans of the fish 'n chips! Their tuna salad is tasty, too. Let's get to the real reason you should eat here: the ice cream! The ice cream is awesome!! Their signature sundaes (MASSIVE!) are delicious! Although I usually stick with a classic root beer float with chocolate ice cream! Mmmmm! The service is a bit on the slow side but everyone is very friendly. The restaurant is not in the best condition these days, but everything is clean and functional.

  • Rico Z.

It has that old time ice cream shop feel. The wait staff was real friendly and brought us are food fast. We were there on a Monday night in the off season so I don't think we got a real feel for what it's like when it's crowded night in the summer. Had the burger it was good but I loved the old style fries. The sundaes are awesome ! The price is what you expect for the beach.

  • Alex F.

The Short Story- $9 (excluding tip) for an "Ok" burger and nothing more, good fries, a coke, friendly staff. Interior is ok. Maybe its trying to go for an old school theme. But anyway, heres my Long descriptive review of why I gave it 2 stars. So I came in here when it was pretty dead. Slow season of course, right on April 2nd. The Burger - This thing was made fast. Are you microwaving the damn meat? Only reason I didnt complain is because im not picky. It was ok. But what about that meat..? I had to go to the bathroom and fast after leaving this place. The burger had no flavor. It tasted sub par, but it is a dinner, what can you expect? The fries were good, but your burger seemed it was made by a 5 year old..with an easy bake oven. I just had Burgerking today that was worlds better than your burger and worlds cheaper. Please step your game up in the cooking department.

Our orders were both wrong and the young girl that served us wore shorts so short she was constantly picking them out of her crotch. When she bent over the counter in front of us her butt cheeks were showing, that's how short these shorts were. Gross.

  • Henry S.

Stick with the ice cream as the food was very low quality and overpriced. The main purpose of our visit was desert and on that front they offered a wide variety of choices that delivered a very solid but not outstanding product. The bad choice was to give the food a chance. They offered standard diner fair but with low quality for the price. I would return but would skip anything other than the ice cream

Regarding Dumsers, just stick to the ice cream and DO NOT ORDER FOOD. Last Sunday, I went with hubby and a friend to have an early dinner before we took off for the 3 hour drive home. The food quality had all the appeal of leftover frozen TV dinners. My friend got the 2 piece chicken dinner with FF's for $10.99. She received 2 pieces of shriveled, lukewarm pieces of dark chicken. The menu states "Add $1.00 if requesting ALL white meat", thereby leading one to believe that there'd be at least 1 piece of white meat. Nope. Hubby ordered the Fish n' Chips, frozen Gorton's is better quality. The pieces were small, dark from over cooking and greasy, he barely ate any. I ordered old school comfort: Hot 'ROAST' Turkey served w/ mashed potatoes, open faced on white bread. What a joke, as there was nothing 'ROAST' about it, the turkey was just cheap, sliced, salty LUNCH MEAT with fake, out of a tub, pre-made chemically tasting potatoes doused with salty canned gravy. The whole thing was disgusting and I barely ate it. The waiter asked if I wanted a to-go box... "Uh... no thanks." Everything was so gross, but we didn't even complain, because we knew Dumsers just didn't care... by the mere fact that they had the nerve to serve such low quality slop. I believe that DUMSERS is missing their moment to have people actually like their food, instead of trying to RIP OFF everyone that walks through their door. This is endemic of OC as a whole, as all the restaurateurs care about is $$$, not hospitality or quality, which is wrong headed thinking. Nothing we ordered was complicated if someone actually KNEW HOW TO COOK. We left feeling insulted... a total waste of our time and $50 bucks. We have a house in OC and go down frequently but Dumsers will not be getting any more biz from us regulars.

Great food and the ice cream was delicious! Service was good but could have been better if she checked to see if we needed more drinks. I would go again. Price was average.

No trip to the ocean is complete without a milkshake from Dumser's. They're super thick, made with homemade ice cream and real milk -- delicious! Our favorites are banana and black raspberry, but we've also tried and loved the chocolate peanut butter and coffee versions. Atmosphere is typically beachy, especially at the takeout windows -- lots of swimsuits, sunburns and sticky little fingers. I guess the tradition begins at a young age for Ocean City regulars. The food is also typical for a beach diner: fried everything, skimpy on the imaginative / healthy / vegetarian options. If you prefer sit-down table service to the picnic tables outside, the servers are friendly and the atmosphere a little nicer.

    (3)
  • Kiet L.

Only tried the peanut butter with chocolate chip ice cream, and it was good. Nice and creamy, but the chocolate chip was a bit bland. Would give it another shot to try the shakes. People mentioned that it was good. It's a change of pace to the frozen custard of Kohr's.

As much as I've come to OC, my family and I have never been huge fans of Dumser's. However, this changed with my most recent trip during MDW, as I went twice in the span of four days. One night, my friends and I grabbed some dinner here because we felt like getting something quick. I got the chicken tenders basket (comes with crinkly fries and sauce) and it was decent. Service was quick though and I enjoyed eating outside on the benches where it's acceptable to still be in your bathing suit. The ice cream, however, is what I really enjoyed. They have a ton of delicious flavors with great toppings to choose from, too. Also, their milkshakes are badang. I might have to come here more often for ice cream when I come to OC. I've had it before, but something just clicked this time around. Word to the wise: beware of Seacret's goers at this location... it's right down the street. The first night when we went for ice cream (maybe around 5pm on a Saturday), it was mobbed with animal-like drunkards who obviously were coming from an all day drinking binge at Seacret's. Don't get me wrong, I was highly entertained, but families beware. If you're not looking for a drunken mob scene, proceed with caution. If you're looking to have a laugh while you enjoy some food though, go for it.

Skip the food and indulge! The CMP is plenty to share and was a treat! Dinner was nothing to write home about!

I can't comment on the regular food because I didn't eat any of it, but I can say that their soft serve ice cream is the worst I've ever had. I took one lick and gave it back. It was grainy and tasteless. They were gracious about it and let me choose something else (mint chocolate chip). That was good. Nonetheless, I am still scarred and probably won't go back.

Dumsers is a great place to go at night for ice cream or a snack or either for lunch during the day. We visited dumsers 2 times during our trip. The first time we came we ordered a large sundae with cookies and cream ice cream and chocolate sauce and oreo pieces, 2 small chocolate milkshakes, and an ice cream soda made with vanilla and a little chocolate ice cream. The ice cream was great and fresh. They did give the cherry even though we asked for none but that's okay. The milkshakes were very thick and creamy. The ice cream soda was very big and tasted great. The next day we came for lunch and got the wing ding basket, a chicken salad sandwich, a tuna melt, and a grilled cheese with bacon. Everything was excellent and it was very clean inside. The only problem we had with dumsers was because the service was a little slow getting the ice cream. But other than that Dumsers was great!

  • Laurie K.

Let me just say Dumsers is a family tradition. I remember coming here when i was little and loved it! The husband and i are down in the off season (January) just for the weekend, we decided to grab a late dinner and ice cream. We came in around 8pm they close at 10pm). There were a few people there maybe around 5 other tables full. We were seated right away by a kind of unpleasant waitress, nothing horrible just not nice. I would usually expect to be greeted in about 5 mins esp since they werent busy and all the waitresses were hanging out at the counter together, but we waited a pretty good amount of time. By then we already knew what we wanted. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, that was good. We ordered grilled cheese and a blt and shared a peanut butter sundae. Everything was very good and hit the spot. One thing i particularly didnt like was that one of the waitresses was vacumming while we were eating. I can see cleaning up alittle mess but not the whole restaurant esp when there are customers. We will most likely be back, this time during peak season!

    (3)
  • Amanda J.

The food is just standard, nothing special. We enjoyed the ice cream as well. Nothing to write home about but an overall enjoyable experience.

  • Lillian R.

Very quaint old time place! Great menu with lots of food choices and dessert choices! We all loved our ice cream!

    (5)
  • Mike L.

More like Dumpster's. The ice cream is so overpriced and has absolutely no flavor. I got the Hawaiian Delight and the only thing you could taste was the frozen fruit in it. It melted away immediately and it wasn't even that hot out, meaning it's extremely watered down. The cone was left soggy and stale. My gf just threw hers out it was so bad. Go to Kohr Bros. or Rita's instead. The only reason this place is in business is because its located on the strip and preys on tourists who don't know any better.

  • Zach L.

Just got back from having deserts from here. But I'm from Jersey and was in Ocean City for MDW and LDW, so I've been to Dumser's more than a few times this summer. The ice cream is delicious, they make their own ice cream in this place and have different flavors every day. I just got done with a Oreo Crush Ice Cream Milkshake and it was marvelous. They also sell sandwiches, chicken tenders, fries, burgers and subs at Dumsers. The food is average at best though, and the ice cream is the main event of this act. This place is located right outside of Seacrets Beach Bar too, which makes for an interesting form entertainment while your enjoying your food or ice cream.

  • Kate C.

Stopped by here while staying at Seacrets right next store. It's a cute spot with that 1950s charm. Unfortunately, we didn't get any ice cream but the food was decent. I ordered a cheesesteak and my friend got the chicken tender basket with fries. Both very good especially with the side of cheese dip! Your standard beach fare that will give you heartburn (lol) but is worth it. The cones we did see being ordered looked delicious and from the response of the persons eating them - they were. Staff is friendly and keeps the line moving. It definitely gets crowded at night with lots of kids. We went around lunch time and noticed all their tables are in the direct sunlight with no coverage. Luckily, it was a minute walk back to our hotel room but it's something to keep in mind.

  • Dedrie S.

This place was listed as the best for friend chicken and ice cream. Well it was without a doubt the worst fried chicken I have ever eaten in my life. The ice cream was just okay. I would not ever go to this place again.

  • Marissa M.

Their ice cream is awesome! The super sundaes they make are expensive but worth it. Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area. They also have food which I haven't had but I'm sure it's also good.

    (5)
  • Paola G.

Thought it would be a good dinner at most, but I am not impressed. I went with the BLT just because i knew it was hard to mess that up. The ice cream is good- probably the only good thing there. I think inside its a huge dinner with more food than what is offered on the outside seating area.

    (2)
  • Gabrielle C.

I had the small sundae soft vanilla with whipped cream and butterfinger topping, let's not forget the cherry :) It was really good. Could have used more butterfinger. My boyfriend had the large sundae hard vanilla with marshmellow and strawberry topping. Whipped cream and a cherry........His looked awesome and he swallowed it. He was suppose to share it with our two year old....there wasn't much sharing from the looks of it!

  • Nicolle D.

Awesome food, unbeatable ice cream. I have yet to see a place that can give fresh, perfect ice cream AND this delicious food. It's clean, the staff is friendly, and everything is fresh. It's the best place to eat at with your family in OC. It's easy and fun to make customized sundaes with lots of ice cream flavors and toppings.

    (5)
  • Katie B.

stick to your ice cream dumser's!!! We decided to come and try the food omg bad decision. The kids chicken fingers were hard as hockey pucks. The turkey club had no flavor it was bland. We won't return for the food but will return for the ice cream

REVIEW FOR ICE CREAM ONLY. This is an OC landmark, so it's tough to grade on a normal scale, as it has an emotional, nostalgic tug on you. That being said, the way the ice cream sundaes are assembled is truly perfect. They aren't cheap, but dairy is expensive these days and it isn't a necessity, so I'm not complaining too much. I WILL try new things soon, but right now I just keep going with a classic Banana Split. You get a big scoop of Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry ice cream with generous toppings of chocolate, strawberry, pineapple, whipped cream, and of courses a perfectly ripe whole banana. It's EXACTLY what a banana split should be. There are so many other places to eat in OC that I don't really see the food as something to stop for, but for ice cream, this is it.

Pros: -Parking -Location -Clean -Well maintained -Good, basic American food -Good selection of ice cream and toppings -Excellent service Cons: -The ubiquitous flies in every eating establishment in OC Maryland. Recommendation: Strong reccomend for lunch, dinner, and especially dessert.

Gotta love what the beach weather does to the self: ended up walking 40 blocks on a perfectly sunny day. I truly deserved a celebratory drink in the form of a chocolate and banana shake. I fell in love with a chocolate and banana malt at an ice cream shop nearby the Delaware River where I canoed with a bunch of awesome people. The problem arose when I realized that I may never be able to go back to that shop. So, Dumser's gave me a ray of hope because a chocolate and banana shake was on the menu. Well, it was really sweet, thick, and sticky. Hmm, perhaps a re-do? I will give Dumser's another chance, though, so the natives shouldn't come after me just yet.

No trip is complete without some ice cream from Dumsers. I love the cute little restaurant. The ice cream is good, it is a little expensive for what you get but its the beach. It is convenient with parking and I have yet to see any issues with the Seacrets crowd.

  • Samantha K.

My husband and I ate here. I had two scoops of coffee ice cream with hot fudge. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful but a little soft for my taste. The portion was generous. My husband got blue raspberry Italian ice which he really enjoyed. He said it was better than Rita's.

Cool little throwback ice cream shop with traditional American diner food and fantastic ice creams. Everyone in our party loved their ice cream, I especially enjoyed the peanut butter fudge ice cream, it was incredible. Think of PB ice cream with chunks of PB chocolate fudge mixed in, awesome. . Fun place for the family.

We've been coming hear for years and it's a family ritual every time we're in OC. We just come for the ice cream and the sundaes are the best you can have anywhere. The five of us enjoyed everything. Great service too!

  • Emily C.

Best ice cream ever! As a local, I have been to many tourists spots and I ALWAYS come back here! The mint chocolate chip is devine and has many chocolate pieces but not big chunks! And after the shake, your cup has a 1/2 in mound if chocolate!!!! I love the soft serve! Mixed with chocolate sprinkles is the best!! Highly recommend!!!

Okay we stayed right across from this place, so naturally this was the first place we came upon arriving for lunch. Even though it was a hot day - I love seafood and though I tend not to eat much fried food....my eyes lit up when I read CLAM Basket. Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo - me loves fried clams. So I ordered it and this thing was basically french fries as the main entree with barely there clams. First of all, it's not even about the portion of it but it wasn't even good. Second, the clams...were like fried batter and no clams within. I should have just ate their ice cream for lunch, since supposedly that's what they are famous for!

Zero stars. The last time I ate there with my family, my mom found a cockroach in her home fries. It didn't just crawl onto her plate between the time our meals left the kitchen and made it to the table. No, the little sucker was COOKED in there. Of course, the rest of us immediately lost our appetites as well, because we all had home fries on our plates. When my mom pointed out the problem to our waitress, she just laughed. Yeah, health department violations are hilarious! The manager refused to come out of hiding, and we ended up paying for the entire bill even though none of us ate more than a few bites. Disgusting and lame.

I've been to Dumser's a few times and always had a great time. Ice cream and food have been consistently good. Sort of the typical summer, beach place, I wouldn't expect any riveting food discoveries; but if you are looking for snack shack favorites in a place that seems to have been conceptualized in the 50's (without looking shabby or old that is), then this is your place. The walk-up window for ice cream is a nice feature for the sake of speed and enjoying the summer air.

Wanna great burger? Go to Dumser's Dairyland! Want great ice cream? Go to Dumser's!!! Dumser's Dairyland has been offering the finest frozen treats on the boardwalk since 1939. So, head to Dumser's and step back into a time that the ice cream parlor ruled supreme!

I think every visitor to OC has stopped at Dumsers at one time or another. I love their ice cream and I am not a huge ice cream fan. Their chocolate is yummy yummy yummy! My youngest adores the bugers and also the girls that work at the one on 49th ST. Dani you are his favorite. I would send anyone here to eat and the food is priced right!

Service wise don't expect much unless you get a senior waitress. This one is the best located by Secrets bar in Ocean city. It's a cute 1950's flashback style diner that is known for it's ice cream and huge sundaes and milk shakes. They also have huge/greasy chicken cheese steaks and cheese steaks (nothing like Gino's in Philly though), onion rings etc...good place to go after a hot summer day, sunfest and back to the beach, car events. I get the vanilla shake with fresh cherries

I love Dumser's. Its not a trip to Ocean City without it. Cute place that never changes a bit, serving good food that is certainly not fancy and not particularly special... just a fun beach tradition. Come hungry for diner-style food - fried seafood baskets, Maryland fried chicken, burgers, sandwiches, etc. Cheesesteak sub today was pretty damn good. I know there are a lot of places in OC favored for subs, but this one did not disappoint. Both guys got chicken tender subs and raved about them as well. And be ready to top it off with the requisite big fat dessert... Dumser's is a haven for sundaes, shakes, and floats.

I've eaten dinner here a few times. The food over all isn't anything special. It's a normal American cuisine that's burgers and fries, grilled cheese things like that. Not good but not bad either. Staff is mediocre at best but it's an inexpensive little place and let's be honest this place is all about the ice cream and shakes. You don't come here for excellent service and ambiance. Now the reason for the 4 stars is of course the ice cream and shakes. They are all delicious homemade tasting excellence. They are rich and creamy and is the perfect "night cap" on a hot summer night.

Yes the customer service sucks because the employees hate their jobs but who cares! The ice cream is so delicious that you shouldn't worry about their attitudes, just worry about the sweet taste of goodness that will flow ever so gently into your stomach! I had the small vanilla soft serve and even though I thought it would be just enough to satisfy, I found myself struggling towards the end of my cone- that of course is not to say I didn't enjoy it because I did . If your looking for a place not on the boardwalk for some yummy soft serve, make Dumser's your first choice!

Dumsers is a must whenever we go to OC! We went for dinner and both my husband and I got the fried chicken which was awesome! We also always get ice cream - Peanut Butter Supreme all the way!! Always great! Will be back next year!

Went here after Seacrets one night and had an awesome crab cake for $11.99. Went back the following morning for lunch and did not enjoy the food at all. Most of the menu is fried and clearly frozen. The fried chicken had the right amount of saltiness on the skin but the chicken itself lacked flavor. The cole slaw was dry and far from fresh. The homemade mac and cheese tasted like cheese whiz. At least the chocolate shake was good and Julianne is an excellent server.

Very disappointed. It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review but after walking around for a while for a good ice cream place I was very much disappointed. I could have overlooked the long line and the fact that we ordered, paid and had to stand awkwardly behind the new people ordering for our ice cream if it was actually Good. But no. It was fast food standards. All I wanted was a chocolate shake. Simple. Easy. But instead i got vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. If you don't know my frustration imagine wanting chocolate ice cream and instead getting McDonald's vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. Yeah totally sucks. Do not go here point blank.

An Ocean City tradition! Best ice cream and soft serve in town. So much more rich, creamy, and smooth than the average cone. We also grabbed lunch one day on the front patio on 52nd street - clam strips and crinkle fry basket big enough for two to share - around $8! The tartar was excellent as well - seems homemade. I've never eaten inside, but why would you want to with their awesome outdoor atmosphere!

The best place to eat in Ocean City. I always eat eat here when I visit. The fried chicken platter is great. Good soups and sandwiches too. And of course the ice cream is the best. There are not many places left that are true soda fountains like Dumsers!

How do I rate this place? If you have had a few drinks it's great. However if you are stopping by lunch it's just okay. A lot of comfort food. I had the fried chicken meal. The portions are generous and the service is good. Nothing to write home about but for the price what do you expect.

LOL

Gross.

Only tried the peanut butter with chocolate chip ice cream, and it was good. Nice and creamy, but the chocolate chip was a bit bland. Would give it another shot to try the shakes. People mentioned that it was good. It's a change of pace to the frozen custard of Kohr's.

Thought it would be a good dinner at most, but I am not impressed. I went with the BLT just because i knew it was hard to mess that up. The ice cream is good- probably the only good thing there. I think inside its a huge dinner with more food than what is offered on the outside seating area.

Awesome food, unbeatable ice cream. I have yet to see a place that can give fresh, perfect ice cream AND this delicious food. It's clean, the staff is friendly, and everything is fresh. It's the best place to eat at with your family in OC. It's easy and fun to make customized sundaes with lots of ice cream flavors and toppings.

stick to your ice cream dumser's!!!

My husband and I ate here. I had two scoops of coffee ice cream with hot fudge. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful but a little soft for my taste. The portion was generous. My husband got blue raspberry Italian ice which he really enjoyed. He said it was better than Rita's.

We've been coming hear for years and it's a family ritual every time we're in OC. We just come for the ice cream and the sundaes are the best you can have anywhere. The five of us enjoyed everything. Great service too!

Best ice cream ever both soft serve and regular, I was in OC for 8 days and came here every day

This is a great place for ice cream. I wouldn't really recommend it for food because it's mostly just diner and fried food. I had soft serve and it was very yummy. My boyfriend had the cookies and cream hand dipped and it was very creamy and yummy as well.

We never visit OC without visiting Dumsers several times. We love the cheesesteak there as well as the ice cream of course. I recommend Oreo crush with rainbow sprinkles.

We didnt eat any dinner here but we grabbed a milkshake and an ice cream cone. It was nothing special. I have had better at a cheaper price. They say it is homemade ice cream but it didnt have that taste to me. It tasted very similar to friendlys ice cream

Have been here before but this time brought the family. Good food diner style and great icecream. Beware food is plentiful and save room for desert.
